Minister of Diaspora Affairs Omer Yankelevich in a speech to “Am Olam”: We have a historic opportunity to strengthen the committed relationship between Israel and the Diaspora now in this moment of crisis.

Tuesday morning, 9.6.20, Minister of Diaspora Affairs, Omer Yankelevich (Blue and White) was the first speaker on the third day of the Mekor Rishon newspaper’s conference “Am Olam.”
Yankelevitch said that concern for World Jewry is not a privilege, it is our Jewish obligation.

She called the current situation a historic opportunity to show support and strengthen the relationship between Israel and the diaspora.
She went on to outline the actions that her Ministry is currently undertaking:

“In the Ministry of Diaspora Affairs we are working on a campaign of Jewish solidarity the main goal of which is to raise awareness among Israelis of the tragedy that Jewish communities abroad have gone through and to send a clear message to World Jewry: we are with you, we will get through this crisis together and God willing we will come out of it stronger. All of Israel are responsible for one another” is not just a slogan, it must be a real Jewish commitment”.
