Lieberman responds to Mahmoud Abbas’s statement on immigrants from Russia: whoever serves in the IDF, works, and pays taxes is more Jewish than Deri and Litzman put together.

Sunday, 2.2.20, Head of Yisrael Beiteinu MK Avigdor Lieberman responded to Head of the Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbas’s statement that most Russian immigrants are not Jewish. Lieberman tied Abbas’s statement to Chief Rabbi of Israel Rabbi Yizchak Yosef’s statement from a few weeks ago..

During an emergency meeting of the Arab League held in Cairo arranged at the request of the Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki (in response to the peace plan proposed by President of the USA Donald Trump), Abbas gave a speech and claimed that Israel is not a Jewish State. He added that most immigrants from Russia are not Jewish and immigrants from Ethiopia are Muslim

A few weeks ago, the Head Rabbi of Israel said:

“Hundreds of thousands or tens of thousands of Goyim (non-Jews) came to the country because of the law of who is Jewish. There are many many Goyim here, some of whom are communists and hostile to religion, religion haters. They are not Jewish at all, Goyim. Then they vote for parties who incite against the Ultra-Orthodox and against religion”.

Chair of Yisrael Beiteinu Liberman responded on his Facebook page:

For me, everyone who serves in the IDF, serves in reserves, works and pays taxes is more Jewish than Deri and Litzman put together, who spend all day taking from public funding at our expense”.

Lieberman also said in an interview to News Channel 12:

What we saw is that Mahmoud Abbas adopted the position of the Rishon Lezion Rabbi Yizchak Yosef’s (the Head Rabbi) position and said that immigrants from Russia are not Jewish“.

Prime Minister MK Benjamin Netanyahu (Likud) responded to Abbas on Twitter:

“Apparently Abu Mazen has not yet heard of the Tribes of Israel- immigrants from Ethiopia and the Former Soviet Union. Our brothers and sisters our flesh and blood, Jews from birth who dreamed about the return to Israel and were able to achieve their dream”.
