After 99% of the votes have been counted:
Likud has 36 mandates, Blue and White 33 mandates, The Joint List 15, Shas 9, UTJ 7, Yisrael Beiteinu 7, Labor-Gesher-Meretz 7, and Yamina 6.
Since the results have come in, a number of politicians have touched on issues of religion and state:
Minister of the Interior and Chairman of Shas Aryeh Deri in a speech on Monday night:
“Tonight is a […] big victory for the State of Israel as the Jewish State with a Jewish character that connects us all together“.
Minister of Education Rabbi Rafi Peretz at a party meeting for Yamina:
“We are going to build a good stable government and take care of Israel and the Jewish Identity. That is the important thing. As far as I am concerned, the main thing is that the Right-wing block is 61, we will get to that- we won”.
Chairman of Yisrael Beiteinu MK Avigdor Lieberman spoke with reporters outside his home this morning:
“There is no Right-wing block, there is an Ultra-Orthodox, messianic block. We belong to the real Right-wing, the liberal Right-wing. We will wait for the actual results”.
